I have a 05 Vector that will not fire. I changed the plugs. I know i have spark. I dont think it is getting gas though. How can i check if I'm getting gas? I really need to figure this out becuase we are getting hammered with snow.

Have you had the sled running this season? Might be bad gas, need the carbs cleaned or it just might be that it's a bitch to start at the beginning of the year, I know mine was.

It was running like a week or so ago. When i blow into the gas line that runs to the fuel pump, its like it hitting a wall. Should air be able to flow through their? Its got fuel all the way up to the pump, but nothing comes out of the pump. I have heard other people say that it needs to be primed.
...up to the pump does not mean in the pump...and they must run in liquid to do the job.
Yes, it may need a LB prime job.
Get to the end of the vent line.. left side near secondary..
Blow in as far as you can to pressurize the gas tank then hold on & crank.
Hope this helps; good luck.

if that don't work drain the old gas from the carb bowls and put a bit of gas down the spark plug hole might have to do it a few times , if you have spark it should start.......

That's odd if the sled was running just last week. Usually the "LB Job" is for when the sled has sat all summer and fall. Glad to hear that it worked though!

I went the lazy route this year and just shot each carb with a little starting fluid and she fired right up. It was a toss up between blowing in the breather or popping the airbox and since my flo commanders needed adjustment from last spring I opted for the juice.

Don't know about the diaphram, but last year after draining the fuel and floats it took me nearly 2 minutes of cranking before it started (damn near drained the battery and my sled was new then). This year while blowing in the fuel tank breather line...mmmm 'bout 5 seconds and she fired up!

I have been using this vent line trick a few times to fire my vector up, last time I did this, when trying to disconnect the rubber hose from the aluminum nipple I broke off the nipple, and cannot re attach it. How screwed am I? Can I just run it like this?Just below the clip for the clutch guard on the foot well brace . It might have a spring wire protector over it . If you are using an air compressor you will need to turn down the pressure to 10/15 PSI and watch the gas cap to rise when blowing . I like to stop as soon as the cap moves and then clamp off the end of the hose with a spring clamp. Let it sit for 2 mins to fill the bowls then start cranking with choke on . Once it fires take clamp off and reinstall vent line .![]()
