Where did the factory connect the 12v outlet on the venture? There were a lot of suggestions on where to hook one up on the rx-1, just curious how the factory did it.

If you mean where is the actuall plug located, it is on the front face of the seat shroud between where your left knee would be and the left grip.

Tough to describe but well located for GPS or Phone use.

I have not looked into that.
If I get time I will check my machine and get back to you.

I would go straight to the battery if it were me with an inline fuse. That way it is a really nice place to hook up your battery charger without opening the hood. Just put an accessory plug on your charger.

My guess is the DC accessory jack on the left side of the sled under the front of the tank cover.

There was some discussion about this earlier this year in this forum. I think the title had to do with Visor Hookup.

You can see this circuit on the schematic in your owners manual. It is fused at 3 amps.

IT IS LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE AS YOUR SITTING ON THE SLED UNDER THE PLASTIC DASH PANEL ON TOP OF GAS TANK.
REMOVE 2 SCREWS AND DASH CAP AND YOU WILL FIND IT THERE.

THAT IS WHERE I HOOKED UP MY VISOR
