I seem to remember someone finding a factory pig tail plug on the Winder harness that is a switched 12v source for wiring in your helmet. Anyone know the location and wire color?? If not where are most people picking up 12v switched OTHER than cigarette outlet and brake light???

It's a 2 prong SAE connector down by the back side of the oil tank/chain case.

My '19 SE has the plug for the helmet visor included in the harness up by the steering column, which comes on when you start the engine. I didn't see it on the '18 in the shop that the guys were replacing a motor on, but I could have missed it.
I was going to use the Yamaha kit for the plug by the oil tank but was surprised to find the pigtail sticking out when I took off my console. I just bought the parts off the SRX fiche and added them to mine, easy peasy. (I'm the parts guy at my shop.)

Not to hijack but what’s the story behind this?

Haha, thought that might turn some heads. Knock protection didn't install to the ECU on a tune and some bad gas was put into the machine. Voila, detonation! I won't say whose tune.
