Ok guys, just got a call from a buddy of mine that has a Venture. Apparently he had the sled started yesterday, but today when he went out to start it (again
) he said he can hear the fuel pump prime, but the sled will not roll over and the guage pod does not light up. I told him I thought it sounded like the battery. He said he put a jump box on the sled but it did not work.
I am no mechanic, just a weekend wrench turner. What do ya guys think? Need help, he is freaking out...
Thanks.

Check the wiring, seeing i put 0 kms. on my Venture last year went out to start this year with anticipation and found after a lot of fuses that kept blowing ,that a mouse had bared a wire under the seat and kept shorting on the tunnel. So replaced wire and heat shrunked it and was good to go.That could be a good place to start .Tracing the wire and look for a bare wire or broken one. Oh by the way i'm still looking for that f!!!!!!!in mouse!

When I put mine away for the season I put several containers of moth balls under the hood and on the running boards. I've never had a problem with mice with all of my sleds and boats and been doing this for 30+ years.

I pulled the battery when I got over there and put it on a tester. Bad Battery. Was thinking that had to be the issue and thinking that might be it. I asked him why he was starting it again, he said, "it is spitting a little bit of oil when I let it set here and run." I asked him to check the oil, um yeah oil level pasted the full mark ad almost all the way up the guage into the aluminum bar.
Might be a little over filled.
