Vermont Area Ride-in in February

With this weather reg is a minor concern. I have a major investment setting on the trailer unusable!

This keeps up and I may look at a ATV!

After talking to several people about this ride, I have made the following decisions. All are welcome, but I am organizing this as a Vermont TY ride. If you can't make the ride, that's fine, but we don't need to know your reasons. I have decided to postpone the date until Feb. 25th, as the 11th has several other events going on, as does the following weekend. This will also hopefully give mother nature enough time to get her act together. I doubt early Feb. will be good riding anyway, the way the extended forcast looks right now. This date is concrete unless there is still no snow, at which point I say, "screw it!". Plan on meeting that morning between 10:00 and 11:00 somewhere in the NEK. If you're there at 10:00 we can socialize and grab some food, and we'll all head out at 11:00. More then likely Barton / Island Pond area. We'll plan a ~ 100 mile loop and those that want to stay for an after ride get together are welcome to do so. Plan on this date and when we get closer to it, I'll post an update with the exact location and trail route. Where's the freakin' snow???

I grew up in the NEK and I would suggest Meeting at the Pub out back In East burke and riding from there.
The only problem with that riding location is it will be crowded if we head toward island pond "AKA the puddle"
If I remember corectly there is a place in Barton called the Candle pin that has halfway decent grub and from there we could head toward lowell or Jay
I really don't much care.

I hear the trails are not to bad right this minute but that could all change with this dammed January thaw.
let me know what we are doing and if you have questions or need help please ask
thanks
DOC ;)!

I have faith that we will have some riding in FEB.
So do we have a plan for the ride or ????????
Hope to meet a few of you guys ;)!

Dr. Nitro,

Yup, ride date, time, place isn't going to change. The ride you suggest is fine. If you want to take the reins and plan out a 100 - 150 mile loop ride, go for it. Post here when done, and we'll get anyone directions that need it. Ride WILL BE Saturday Feb. 25th, NEK. Meet between 10:00 and 11:00. Route TBD, and posted ASAP.

Where do you want to meet???

I hate to make a call on a trail route until we have some snow for sure.
Thu pub out back in east burke is not open until after 1200am if i remember right.

If we had enough snow we could meet at Martys in Danville or even in STJohnsbury
you pick a place and I will try to help with a route ;)!
Thanks
DOC

Danville would be good, if we have snow. Plan a route from there, and if there's no snow by then, the season is shot to Hell anyway. Post the route here when you're done, and we'll get people directions to the starting spot.

I have not forgot the ride in!!!!!!!!!!!

I am just waiting for the white stuff.
I put in a big order for lots of it this next week!!! ;)!

I sure hope we don't end up having the yamaha golf tourny due to the lack of snow!!! :o|

Did Rangeley lakes area today. Not bad early but by midday the sun and warm temps had really taken a toll

I wouldnt go back unless they at lease 6"

The Concord VT area had snow and trails are groomed ... but lots of brown snow.
