When excellerating from 70mph and higher, I feel a strong vibration from the front end of what seems to be coming from the track?

What can this be or is it normal.

Trail conditions were hard pack with maybe 2" fresh powder.

Not sure if this is your problem but, I had a similar vibration on my 06RTX sled. Drove me nuts . I knew something was wrong after the first trip!. The demo sleds seemed much smoother the year before. My sled had a horrible vibration at moderate to high speed. Seemed really bad in loose powder. I was ready to replace the track. I just happened to watch the secondary clutch while spinning the track at 20-30 mph one day while on the lift. I had a bent secondary clutch sheeve. With my clutch you could watch one side of the clutch run true but the other sheeve ran out. I knew the shaft was true but the one half of the clutch was defective. My sled probably had 30 miles on it. Replaced the movable sheeve of the clutch. Problem Solved. FYI the replacement clutch came with a windage plate.

Could also be bad idler wheels or track clips

I just now (that the ice melted) noticed that my idler wheel (inside the skid) are beginning to delaminate just a little. Can this cause the a vibrating sensation? Feels like something is grinding, especially at 70mph on hard excelleration.

Need help here...please. I am imaging the grinding sound/vibration or what ?

Leaving for 7 days this Fiday, need a fix.

I dont own an attak or apex I have two rx-1's. But if you are feeling grinding and vibration I would check out the chain case and bearings the full drive line in fact before I went on a 7 day trip. Something is not right and will fail and cause more damage. Are you sure it not track ratcheting from the track being too loose?

I have the same thing, On mine it is the track ballooning from the drive to where the track goes under the slide rail's and start's to whip. Have some one ride aside of you and watch your track, A friend noticed mine. I also took out a bunch of track clip's frome this. Either tighten your track to spec or your track may be stretching bad if that is what it is. I have 3,000+ mi on mine and hoping i don't need a new track, Will check it out farther this week. kviper

Probably not at least not on a Yamaha but anything can happen. A grinding sound is not good, you must finds its cause.

Re: ss

If the vibration yuor feeling is at your feet chances are its a bearing. I replaced mine last year in the spring. specifically because it runs dry , no grease fitting,,,the bottom one on your left and upper jack shaft plus its easier then it sitting in water all summer,,,,, another dumb a$$ move. Do the 07 ,s have a grease fitting on the upper jack and the lower drive..???/

Mine will vibrate and emitt an annoying sound when pushing deeper snow when trying to get up on top, I just have to let off and find the sweet spot and stay in it until there is a terrain change. It's ok on hardpack though.

Mine makes the same noise almost like a humming sound only in deep snow.

No fitting that I can see. with 1300 KMS, I am surprised that it can be the bearing.

Back from the dealer. He heard no noise from any bearings what soever, the chaincase was bolted too tight (he says), and the track was not aligned and loose. Not enough to rachet , but loose enough to vibrate.
