My gt has a vibration/noise between 2500-2900 rpms. Very annoying noise and vibration. Goes away when slow down or speed up? Any ideas?

It,s normal. With out going into any detail the crank is ballanced around useable RPMs The harmonics you hear are set up to appear at RPMs that the engine normaly does not run at much. Some sled manufactures don't do a very good job at this, polaris FUISION 900 for example. Yamaha on the other hand did a awesome job on the 150 EFI For vibration in the useable RPM range like say 3500 to 10500... Super smooth!
My 05 has that noise too. After some time on it, you will get use to it. I put on the CPR air kit, and that seems to help with that noise...

If your a former 2 stroke owner it's going to take a while to get used to hearing things you've never heard over the loader 2 strokes.
As far as you vibration goes I had an 03 and my brother had an 04. I don't remember any such vibration. Check you clutches to make sure your Helix is bolted tight on all 3 towers. I once left one loose and it had a terrible vibration.
Also pull your belt off and start the sled and run the RPMS up to see if the vibration goes away when the sled can't move. That way you can eliminate the Motor having a problem

The clutches are not engaged at 2500 to 2900 so the sled will not be moving. My 06 Attak does the exact same thing, but this is at a rpm that you never run the sled at anyway.

Mine had a vibration coming from the front right side that increased as rpm did. Starts at about 2500 rpm
It was caused by the aluminum plate that the cooling fan is mounted on. The top left corner of the plate vibrates against the aluminum support tubing. I bent the plate away from the support (just slightly) and smeared a bit of silicone in there. No more vibration!

Good catch on the cooling fan.
You right at that RPM the sled would be stationary Don't know what i was thinking on the Secodary thing.

Have you ever ridden a sled that didnt make some sort of noise? Two strokes are thw worse... Polaris XCs shaked sooo bad at idle that the front springs rattled!
You guys need to be stop being so critical of your sleds... They are not cars...
Enjoy the great sled you got.. remember its still better than most out there!

Welt..the difference is on a 2 stroke you can't hear all the little vibrations over the engine noise lol.
