Hi everyone I'm looking for ideas as to what is going on with my viper. It all started 2 weekends ago. It was -30 out all weekend. Sunday morning when we went to leave the camp to come home I had a hard time to start my viper. Mine is a 2014 with the latest flash. My buddies 2015 started right up. I put the charger on mine for awhile and nothing, then I boosted off another machine and cranked it 20-25 times over 30 minutes and it started but only on 1 or 2 cylinders and would only stay running with me holding the throttle at around 3000 rpm. Eventually it cleaned out and away we went. I got home and put it in my garage and it's sat in there until this morning. I keep the garage at 10 degrees Celsius this time of year. This morning I went in and started it up, it fired up pretty good and idled for 30 seconds, but when I walked away it stalled. After it stalled it was really hard to start and would only stay running with throttle. I eventually opened the door and took
It out into the field and tried to clean
It out. It ran fine, came back let it idle and it was fine. This evening I fired it up again and it started normally but again stalled and I was back to square one having to start it and run it at a 1/4 throttle. I'm thinking bad gas or plugs but confused as to why it clears up after it's warmed up. It has never done this before.

I have some gas line antifreeze in it and added a bit of octane boost. I'm leaving to go to my camp in the morning, hopefully I can find some plugs locally.

I tried it again this morning. It's almost like it's an ecu issue. It's doing the exact same thing each time I start it cold.
1. I turn the key it starts fine and idles normal
2. It idles for 10 seconds normal then begins to idle lower until it stalls
3. Will now not start without giving it gas
4. It will start and idle really rough almost like it's running on 2 cylinders
5. It will only stay running if I keep the rpm over 3000
6. If keep the rpm over 3000 until the coolant temp is over 70 it will now idle normal
7. If I drive it after it's warmed up it drives normal

Sorry to say but I had exact same symptoms at 7600 miles. I couldn’t believe it was valve adjustment. I did valve adjustment and solved issues. Did it myself for under $100. Lots of work but I could help you thru it.I tried it again this morning. It's almost like it's an ecu issue. It's doing the exact same thing each time I start it cold.
