2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
Anyone have a fix for the slop in the u-joint on the mtx vertical steering post, the u-joint joint doesn't appear to be replaceable , new post is $170 buy that's only a temporary solution.

If still looking for the answer.
There r 2 bushings.
A nut at the bottom of the steering column.
And a bushing at bottom as well.
Two bushings r up top. One right below the riser. And one below the u joint. Both r cheap and easy to replace.
The nut can be accessed by removing the dust boot cover that the lower a arms and tie rods go through. Take but off and loctite and tight back up.
There’s also a bushing at bottom that the linkage goes thru. I have to do mine. I’m hoping to make it thru the year with it. But it looks like a big job to do.
That’s what I’ve found with my sled so far at least.

Way ahead of you, good point but I've already done all the things you mentioned, lower bushing is hardly the problem, it's the top one and I've replaced that one too but the new one had more slop than the old one, I've actually switch to the oft bronze bushing and it worked good for a while, now I just widen the gap in the factory bushing and wrap a layer or two of electrical tape to take out the slop , works good for the season.If still looking for the answer.
