When you say 7.5 lbs, is that at WOT or what you see at max boost when under load.

Max under load. It may peak higher but settles out at 7.5lbs

Hopefully that is all it is (thermostat acting up). At least change it and the sensor and go from there. If it happens again do some more digging, if not...ride on!

i was wondering what is the ideal temperature range? and what is considered hot? i have 190 kit with no intercooler so im wondering cause the gauge on the display seems to be pretty hot to me lately. think im going to try and vent my side panels. do you guys also have turbo air inlet above hood or inside beside the exhaust like me? wonder how much an intercooler would drop my temperature. if any 1 can answer these that would be great. id like to stay away from these heat issues u guys r having.

Hold down the lower left button while displaying coolant temp gauge until the number value shows up inside the temp bar. That way you can actually see a numerical value for the coolant. I forget where on the gauge my bar sits for coolant temp. However numerical I run 163-168°F all day long on the trails. Once sitting and idling it will obviously come up higher.
And an Air-to-Air isn't going to really effect your coolant temperature. It will help bring Air Intake Temps down once moving.

OK!! Finally took the head off the Viper. not good. bad head gasket and have 1 piston with pitting and cylinder and head need machining. Does anyone in Manitoba know how to machine these engines. I need a good reputable guy.

Were you using gauges with your turbo kit?

Ran gauges FROM DAY ONE. Once when we were in the middle of nowhere i filled with some questionable fuel. I noticed on the way home I sometimes was running a little lean but wasn't on the throttle hard because of it. It was a blown head gasket. Other two cylinders were leaking too. just not as bad.

Maybe a dumb question but what do you think the root cause of the damage was

Fuel imo.. Head gasket may have been the initial cause, but the pitting is due to fuel quality in the combustion chamber.Maybe a dumb question but what do you think the root cause of the damage was
