VK - Smell gas

When I fill the gas tank to just under the filler neck and then ride a bumpy trail, I can smell gas for 20 km or so. Where is the gas exiting? Anyone else have the same thing happen?

I have a little vent built into the PTO side footwell/steering hoop on my RX-1 and RS Venture, but it looks like the vent goes to the MAG side on the VK Pro. You can see the vent at:

same thing happens to mine. It looks like the overflow goes into a hose running down by the left footwell. Poor design, like you say bumpy trail with a full tank and the strong smell of gas, enough to make your eyes water.
