The Haul Gas Issue is Not the Only Thing that suffers on these sleds
you burn every thing behind the seat it seems. hauling Your Lunch is OK if You Need it Cooked but cameras or clothes get fried.
I Need to build A DECENT hitch to Haul Gear And Gas etc.
anyone already figured this out yet? the tunnel extention does not seem
totaly bombproof as far as tugging on it with a serious load.
but perhaps someone has had some experience towing with A Mountain Stock Tunnel Like to talk with someone Whom has Tried

I just cut the exhaust tips off turned them so the pointed out and welded them back on. the exhaust blew to the outside of the sled and then mounted a bag on the back . Worked great the snow was even freezing to the bag. The trailer hitch was just an universal, took a piece of flat steel and went straight back in the middle of tunnel ext and bolted with 2 fender washers and 2 5/16 bolts and nylocks and then ran two braces from the 5/16 bolts (one to each side) over to the piece that holds the extension on bent it down to a angle to match the side and bolted it there.

Snowmotion, I thought you'd have sold your RX Mountain by now, but seeing that you haven't...
1) Look at the Yamaha accessory catalog. There is a very nice rack in there that allows you to tie gear down ontop of the seat hump.
2) I have a seat Jack. It is very easy to stap on a massive pack, using the passenger handholds to anchor your tiedown straps. You don't even know the pack is there when riding.

At the dealer's he mounted a GIVI motorcycle top case on the chrome rack. Looks really nice!
I bought and mounted the rack today, but I'll just try a soft case for now.

Snowmotion,Iám telling you now Don't put a tow hitch on it,i did and my extension is all loose, cracked and rivits falling out and i even put #12 bolts in places to replace the rivits for strength.I removed it at about 5200 miles, only had it on for about 3000 miles
