Hi All,

First time poster here. I want to do 96 studs in the "V" pattern and I read here that I may need to add to my cooler guards at the rear. I cannot see how the studs will hit the cooler given the fact it is only about 10 inches long. Is this correct?

2009 Vector RS LTX.

IMO - do not stud the outer portion of the track. Keep 'em in the middle.

Also...IMO...you're a little light on studs at 96 on a LTX. 120 might be a better choice.

I intend to stud only the middle. Is the cooler going to get dinged?

On my Vector I had to put the thickness of a Hifax out back . I started with 1/4" thick flat Aluminum but it wasn't enough. Believe me they will hit unless you add 1/2" or more. I have the marked up cooler in the back to prove it! There is a " sticky " above on the Menu that has pictures and directions.

The studs will hit when you bottom that sucker out.

My dealer studded my 2012 and said it would be fine, first rough ride I was back to him to put the hyfax spacers I saw in the sticky on here.

He says, Hmmmm I thought for sure it would be ok, where did you see this hyfax fix thing

And yes, more like 120 for the LTX, 96 gets you the pattern you want on a 121 track, not the 136

It will be 108 on a 136" track if you put 2 studs in per row. I would add some hyfax if you can. The thread on this is a sticky and it's called "anyone who studded a 2010 Vector read this" or something like that by Mr Sled.

I used some left over hyfax material (our dealer only stocks 144" slides.....so there's always some left over) cut out a piece the width of the tunnel protector(I used a table saw,,,,super easy) then installed with 2 rivets per side....... works nice, looks clean, and a cheap fix

When I installed the rear cooler on my Attak I thot there was no way the studs would hit. I was wrong.
I added another 3/4 to the protectors. In the pic you can see the damage that happened before I added more to the existing protectors.
I have also raise the extension and cooler 1/2 an inch or so.
You may follow what I did on the thread
