How long should it take for my warm up light to go off. Seems like it takes quite a while to go out. Also will it take longer in colder weather to go out?

Mine takes about 2-3 mins to go out on a regular day. If colder outside, it physically takes the coolant longer to come up to the "warm" temperature.

2-3 mins when it's cold out (say -10 celcius or so)..... At plus 6 to 8 degrees the light never comes on at all.

It does take longer to go out when colder outside. The light goes out when the coolant temp reaches ~ 70 F on my aftermarket guage.
