I bought Woodys brand stainless 1.375 Studs for my Nytro.. Just moving the sled out of my garage. Going across the cement line to tar I snapped two.. Brought them in and theres no warrantee on them.. So I bought two and replaced them. Well after 500 miles of riding Ive got 20 broken and plenty bent. After a 1500 miles Ive got over 75% broken off and the rest bent over..
I talked to my local dealer and they said, "the silver stainless studs do not work. You may have a little more luck if you use the big nuts"..
Just writing to help people out.. I wish I had read this before one flew off and cost me a heat exchanger..

I had those on my 05 Warrior with over 4000 miles and never broke, lost or bent a single one.
Do you like to spin the track often? That may be the problem otherwise maybe a bad batch.

Woody's Golddiggers, and no problems yet to date.
Same on the Attak, Golddiggers, and lost (2) 4,800 miles.
Never ran the Stainless Steel ones.

- None, looking now!
I have studded every sled I have ever owned, ( Until my current sled is not studded ) and have NEVER broken or lost any studs. Ever.
I use the TOP GUNS Stainless studs. My old RTX had 192 1.375's in a 121" track. I spun the heck out of that track and never lost one. I have bent 1 or 2 over the years, but that is it.
Who installed the studs? Were they torqued right? Correct size shanks and backers? 1.375 should have the longer shanked backers for support, not the standard ones.

The stainless woodies don't hold near as well as the goldiggers.
My local yamaha dealer said the stainless ones are junk.. They snap so easy, they havent sold any in years cause of it..

Stainless does not rust but its not as strong as steel although it bend bend easier.
A larger (longer) nut would help but add wieght
I use the golddiggers on my warrior. I usually break/bend 8 - 12 in a season. If the snow is good I have made it through a season without losing a stub but thats been a long long long time.
