Check your anti freeze mixure!
I was reading about a few guys blowing the fuse to the DC outlet where I tapped my face shield and didn't want to find out on a cold dark nite that mine had blown also. So I relocated the connection to the other side of the sled and tapped into the power for the reverse beeper. I decided to check the coolant seeing that I had everything apart. I sucked a gulp into my checker and all 6 balls imediately rose to the top. Right on the checker it says 6 balls are dangerous #$%&* #$%&* #$%&*
This will result in poor cooling, water it down :die :die :die :die

I was baout to post the same thing. Yamaha used strait coolant with zero water. I just got done draining my cooling system and replaced it with "Engine Ice". It is a complete cooling system replacment it. You don't add water or anti freeze. It works awesome!!!

Hey mighty,do you know why anyone would blow the 12 volt plug fuse if they did not mess with anything, now i am not saying i have, but yesterday my gps went dead on me and it said low batteries, and it was pluged in,i thought that as long as it got juice from a power source it would work, and after looking at the power cord pistol at the power light,i dont think it was on,is the fuse easy to check, and is it a standard fuse?? Thanks Pete

Fuse block is on the right hand side above the brake caliper. Only a 3 amp fuse for the dc outlet, not sure why. I noticed that there is a spare in there. I myself would use a higher amp fuse.

Dirk , This Engine Ice you speak of , Is it readily available or is it something I would have to order?

Why would Yamaha only run straight antifreeze?

Thats a darn good question. You would think that Yamaha would have the resources needed to best determine how much anti-freeze is required for their equipment. Especially after doing it for years, I would asume Yamaha has chosen the proper amount.

I have no idea why they do it but it's Bull$hit. After 3 years of this somebodies head should roll over there :die

Doest the sleds come DRY??

I believe the dealers do the 4 Hr setup and fill all the fluids...

On a side note: MY was 100 percent antifreeze and i drained some and added water and watter wetter!

Even more strange, I put a hole in my GT's front exchanger and when I was power washing my sled to take it to get welded, I noticed pink all over in the snow. I figured Dex-Cool like in my new truck. I get to the welders and after welding up the front exchanger I remove the fluid cap for the coolant to pressure test the new weld. The cap is all GREEN!! What was all the pink stuff in my trailer that I thought was Dex-Cool. That was VERY odd. Doug
