Anyone have any rear suspension making a banging noise on a warrior? I tried a search with no results...also the temp. light came on even at 20 degrees and what i thought was enough snow for cooling. The rear is really making some noise...sounds like a bang!!!

It's the transfer rods. Nothing to worry about.

We've all got the noise and you should be able to find some discussions about it. Like Mighty said, it is the control rods. Happens at low speeds on a somewhat bumpy thru-the-woods-type trail.
If you've got an overheat issue - also discussed here elsewhere - get to your dealer. You will likely hear it is the conditions like the rest of us have. I even got that at the Yamaha show last night from the rep. - must be the company line. You should definitely return it to the dealer to have it checked (could be air in it) and then you are covered. Many of us ar goin to Yamaha. I have already written a letter to my dealer. I have been riding with a SkiDoo that, as luck would have it, has a gauge. When my light comes on his gauge is still in the normal range. That tells me the Warrior has a problem - actually a design deficiency. When another manufacturer makes a 600 that has exchangers in the tunnel (F+R) as well as on the boards and the Warrior tries to get by with just the 'boards 'CMON! Even Yamaha has 600's with F+R tunnel + 'boards so how can you make a 998cc engine cool with less.
Speak up to your dealer AND Yamaha! This is a design deficiency and will prevent many of us from "Spring riding" as well as other conditions that have been "normal and expected operating conditons" for snowmobiles.

I have never overheated my Warrior.. Worst conditions were on ice at 40 degrees F.

Is there a fix to stop this noise? It is really disconcerting. Sounds like something is breaking in the right rear. It only happens when going very slow over short steep bumps. If I go over the same bumps a little faster there is no noise.

It is most definetly your rear weight transfere rods traveling in and out and bottoming out (or extending all the way out) and hitting the nylon stops. you wont hear it at speed becase the suspension will be peged at the limits , but at slow speed through bumps the tranfere rods travel back and forth , changing your mid or rear shock and pring settings may stop this
