I took my wifes warrior for a test spin in the fresh powder we rec'd yesterday. It already has simmons skis on it and it felt like the brakes are on almost like there was way to much ski pressure and the engine braking was ridiculous. i then took my viper through the same snow and it floated so much better. I have to think that this sled with the 136 1.25 track no matter how heavy would go alot better than it seemed in the powder. any suggestions..

Yamaha Builds Tight Sleds

Yamaha has always built tight sleds. They always take a little break in. The RX1 is the tightest sled I have ever owned. For the first 1000 miles I smelt the belt burn every time I started to move. I suggest loosening the track a bit more then normal, and just give it a good break in period, and let her loosen up. You will not be dissappointed. Good Luck.

Have a little race in that powder with wifey.
You and your Viper are gonna see tunnel extension and tail-lites. :D

And that is no BS unless that viper is modded. I rented a viper last year and the wife bitched about it being slow and couldn't keep up with me on my RX-1. Both sleds were the stock mtn versions. I figured it was because she was a rookie :D 2 yrs exper. versus my 20 yrs exper. so I traded her and got smoked . I had that tripple wrapped so tight it sounded like a singer sewing machine about to let go.

Seriously if you want that sled to float better purchase a MPI tranfer enhancement kit and eliminate the transfer rods. This will drop 5 lbs off the weight of the sled, increase the front to rear transfer, and give a softer ride on the trails. The best $50 us I have spent. PM Marc (SrXeXtReEm) he has a used one for sale for $30 us because he put a cat skid in his sled, or if you want a new one go to www.mountainperformance.com Hope this helps you out.
