was told by dealer Yamaha is making 150-200 of these

Making 150-200 what? Phazers?

If that's what you've heard I wouldn't believe it. Yamaha wants the dealer in my town to take 14 and wants Hauck to take 40 of them. That's 54 right there.

yes ,PHAZERS ;)!

I dont think so....they are going after this market heavy and targeting the gen/y group (20-25 yr old)....new clothing styles as well

There goin make a million of these little things. Just like they made a million of em in the 80's and sold a million of em in the 80's RUMOR!

Someone posted the link to the Japanese yamaha site a while back. Poking around there I saw a production number of only 600, but that seems awfully low. Another number I saw was 13,000 but don't think that it was linked to the phazers. Isn't annual unit sales for all manufacturers around 120,000 right now or am I thinking registration?

Better get your order in soon then ! Yeah right !!! No doubt you'll be able to get one, otherwise they'd only be available as a limited production sled, and that for sure ain't gonna happen ! :ORC

Ya, lets go through all this R&D cost of a new chassis, front suspension, engine, chaincase, exhaust, guage pod, body work, seat and only make 200 to re-coup the cash outlay. On top of that, let's dangle the marketing carrot in front of a few thousand snowmobilers on the internet, work up all the magazines for great reviews, only to make 200??? Maybe a day at the factory!
