Guys
I just finished installing a new track, but upon inspection of my chaincase oil, noticed a washer laying in the bottom of my drain pan. I am pretty sure it is the washer that goes on the reverse gear post on the outside of the gears (facing the outer half of chaincase). Question is, can I run it like this? Or do I need to split the cases in half again and slide this washer on? It doesnt look like it is a vital part for reverse engagement, but wanted to check just in case.
Thanks

Matt - The washer I can think of is the one that protects the cover from the reverse gear set. Prolonged use would wear.

Thxs guys, and was the exact same thing i was thinking. Of all the sleds Ive had to tear down for track swaps...etc this is the first time I had an extra part, and knew the only place it could have come from was the reverse gear post.

Yep Matt, just did it and yep, you need it. But you have changed the gear in sleds so many times you could probably pull the chain case cover and have it back together in 30 minutes now. I know I can...
