Waste Gate Spring Tention?

I was reading the instructions to my boost controler and it askes what the spring tention is for the waste gate?.. does anyone know what it is? My boost controller is an AEM

They are probably asking which boost pressure the WG is set at, f.ex. wot it holds 10 lbs steady thru the WOT run. The WG boost level will be the lowest boost pressure you can run.

I recommend you to set the WG at the lowest boost you intend to run and use to controller to adjust boost levels higher than the base boost level.

You are very wrong on your statement... hundreds on the site have done it LOL - it's christmas, guess guys are a bit slow I guess hahaha

hehe, yeah I know there is a lot of people that have done it, that's why I was suprised there was no responce...) but yeah in the instructions it says to put in the waste gate spring tention, it says if not known to start off with 5lbs. but that is what i was thinking... thanks

Before installing the AEM I would suggest that you adjust the wastegate and test run the sled to get the base boost level set at your likings before installing the controller. At 5 lbs you may get away with running lower octane if 93 octane (US) is not available, nice beeing able to back off a lot of boost when the octane you need are not available
