I am installing an AEM air fuel gauge on an 06 apex. it comes with the weld in bung in the kit however i would like to add another bung to another exhaust. i have a stock exhaust and a gutted one and would like to be able to switch them out for testing/ sound purposes etc. I can't for the life of me find another weld in bung sold seperately not even on the AEM website itself. just wondering if I could use a stainless steel nut with the proper thread for the sensor to thread in and just weld that on instead? Any thoughts or comments? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work but maybe I'm wrong.

Why not , all you need is threads right?

exactly my thinking. and as long as the nut is about the same depth as the weld in bung so as to place the tip of the sensor at the proper spot in the exhaust flow i can't see any issues.
