I'm sure is Yamaha dropped snowmobiles altogether it wouldn't affect their company much at all. I suspect sleds are a somewhat political sideshow to keep the masses happy, nothing else. I am sure they don't put the full force of their resources in it.
They probably have R&D out the ying yang on the shelf and will feed it to us little by little each year.
Other than that, it keeps a few more little yellow guys employed and gets the Yamaha name out there a bit in the winter so they can sell bikes, boats etc.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you.
I would guess they drop the rx1 all together and replace it with a pumpt up vector (Most likely just a cam and high compression pistons around 150HP) and a 4 stroke work sled. This is why I bought a 04 and moded it up (Will ad boost eventually). Just don't believe they will give us what we really want out of the box.
That said I hope to be wrong, I was wrong once before.

Hey Hardcore, I was just talking to the CEO of Yamaha Motor Corp and he said that if you don't share some more of you home grown sled videos with us that they are jsut going to cancel the entire '06 line up!!
So how about some videos?

What is that rider forward stuff anyway? If you measure-from the front spindle to the front of the floorboards on the rx1 you will find it to be shorter than on the rev. the rev only has a shorter snout and forward mounted handlebars.
My Bars are 3" forward and 5" taler than 04 stock all I really need is a tall flat top seat to be well beyond the rev level of rider forward.
All yamaha needs to do is move the bars put a tall seat on her and a stubby nose rider forward here we go.

Spray , all my recording gear is ready . Just got my turbo dialed and then we lost all our snow. Its killing me first off because I need to get out there, and second I want to share some kickass video (with hardcores perspective of course)with you guys. Its coming or I will just send pics of my wife :shock:
The little bit of footage I have now is not worthy of you guys

He Guys just come up to the yukon, we have been dumping here like crazy 3+ feet of the good stuff on top of the base anywhere you go some places are even better.
As soon as they have the road open to the coast mountains to much snow, they have been digging it out for several days now) we will be able to go to the real good stuff until then I have to live with what we have here.
If any of you feel like coming up to the yukon we would be pleased to take you out and show you around the different riding areas.
