I was reading some of the posts about the 07 rtx's rear suspension and the bottoming out of the rear shocks in the rough stuff. My question is I have an 08 rtx and was wondering if they resolved any of the problems as I havent rode my sled yet I just bought it but if I need to do some stuff to it this summer I will as I am going to put a rear heat exchanger on it.Any input would be greatly appreciated

Pretty sure they revalved for 08 but it may have been the 09? Somebody will straighten me out for sure. I wouldn't do anything to it until you ride it for a couple hundred miles in any case. It'll take you at least that long to get a clue regarding what, if anything, needs to be done.

If you bought it used and it has a full season of riding on it I would send the rear shocks out to get rebuilt during the summer.
The commonly used shops like Pioneer & Carver probably have some experience with your model and could recommend re-valving to suite your weight and riding style.

Center and rear shock valving and springs were changed for '08.
But the '07s weren't that bad, I'd second the motion to ride it a few times before changing anything.
If you still think you need some changes call Bruce Schrader at Pioneer in New York, he knows his stuff, he'll take good care of you.
