What carbides for the curve ski's brand and how long ...

tks chuck

alot of members here seem to like the woodys slim jim duallys. what length depends on how aggressive you are and studded or not studded

I run 6" woodys shaper bars with no studs on my 137 track viper, we ride pretty aggressive on trail and I have zero complaints.

6" shaper bars have always been my go to. I ride aggressive trail.

I used Bergstrom's when I used curve skis. Worked well. I like Shapers also. You will get 1 million opinions on carbide choice

If you are not running the leading edge slim jims would be best as they prevent darting. Curves with single runners will dart in certain conditions.

They now have snowtrackers for the curve skis.

I run 6" Shaper Bars as well. Only minor darting in certain conditions.

You mean Studboy? Shaper Bars are studboy, not woodys?

Must be studboys then, they are 6"shaper bars

Happy with slim jims, but I'm thinking of trying a shaper bar when trails are hard (late season ). When there's new snow or when the trails soften up the ski digs and digs through turns, which is amazing for turning confidently, on straight stretches and slight turns the ski works also amazing, no darting, nothing, no complaints. A single bar carbide imo will work better when trails are hard/frozen, when the profile of the ski isn't doing much, and riding mostly on the carbide, but with a little darting.

I run 6" Woody's carbides round bar. And I have the skis shimmed aggressively. Tracks and steers nice. Virtually zero darting.

137 track,120 studs, 4inch leading edge with 6inch shapers. works awsome with great corner hookup and zero darting

Ran the 6" round bars from curve last year with 144 studs. I made a huge difference how the sled handled (a lot less like a bulldozer) and I didn't find it heavy at all or wanting to dart terribly. Gonna try 7.5" shapers this year for a little extra bite. Regardless of what you choose they're miles ahead of the tuners!!
