I started a topic a couple days ago about under tunnel exhaust for my xtx. I took my sled apart today so I could get a better look at the exhaust. I took the muffler off and damn its loud. I found an exhaust megaphone from akropovic. Its for the newer style r6's. I listen to a couple sound clips and they sound decent. Much better than just straight pipe lol. They make it in titanium as well. Any one tried this or heard of it. I think I am going to try it, the only thing I am wondering about is if I should just send it straight out the back or get a couple 90's and shoot it back towards the front of the sled? To me it just seems like the perfect idea, lightweight, its not huge like a regular exhaust slip on. I am pumped about this

I wouldn't turn it forward, if your turboin your sled the less restriction on the turbo the better. You could probly get away with that pipe given the turbo will quite it down some but I know that would be super loud on a non turbo.

HAHAH YES I RUN THAT PIPE ON MY 08 NYTRO TURBO! IT IS THE SICKEST SOUND, IT IS MOUNTED RIGHT OFF THE EXHAUST PIPE, IF I HAD A STOCK SLED I WOULD PUT IT ON AGAIN!

I just want something light weight a long with a good sound. With out the stock muffler on I consider that obnoxious, sound wise I figured it would be really close to what the sportbike sounded like. So your saying to have it as straight as possible I could turn it side ways and possible use the mount on their already. Dont you guys think it would sound almost identical to the sportbike?? I also can get the exhaust from tachycardia.ca but damn they want a lot of cash for it! I am going to think for a bit and see whats up. Ulmer is building my turbo and the exhaust he is trying to build for tunnel dump turns around towards the bulkhead (front) of the sled, but straight to me is way better flow. If I end up using this and its to loud maybe I could just take it back? Just slip it on lightly and see if its gonna be stupid loud. F I dont know what to do!

Some guys around here run them on their streetbike R6's, but I have never seen them in Supersport or Superstock racing. They are simply too loud to pass the competition noise limit. Please be advised that this is really a megaphone, not a silencer.
Anyway, if you decide to get one you will not be disappointed by the quality, fit and finish. All of the Akrapovic products are top level...!

It has a sound reducer on the inside its not just a pipe. The core can be removed. I have seen megaphones that are just straight pipe. I am trying to get one of ebay as we speak. I will try and install it with out the turbo and then see the difference after the turbo is installed. I am so stoked to get the meth injection on with the turbo. Ten lbs of boost is going to be sick. I spoke with mountain mod today and got a seat with a red stripe on order. I have spent way more than I wanted but I figured I should get it in while my girlfriend is away on her internship The seat should go great with my red C&A razors with black loops and my black hood as well. I ordered the red hand guards that go over the stock ones but do not match so I got a set of the black ones coming. Know any one looking for the red ones, blue shroud, stock skis, and blue piece that goes over the gas tank, and stock seat I will sell them at a great deal. I will most likely put them on ebay if no one here wants them
