If you hammer the throttle from a dead stop the engagement can be harsh and you will probably spin the track and loose traction.Heavy sleds are tough to get moving their fastest when set up for trail riding as they are set up for bumps not transfer.
You can engage the belt a little while holding the brake then just release it and hammer down.Clutches don't slam together and break the track free to spin and spin before hookup.
