I havent had a sled with a rear limiter strap in 25 years, what will shortening it do for the ride??

(This is not about the front arm limiter strap)

Thanks

increase ski pressure...and decrease the travel in the front of the skid..

correction my comments were for the front strap....what are you referring to ...the transfer rods? they increase transfer (rock back and squat) and decrease the point of coupling the front ant rear arms (decreased ride quality)...they also will lessen ski pressure at times...

The Nytro shorties have a strap in the rear as well, no transfer rods. I'm curious to see the responses as well.

This is what I am looking for (rear strap info) This applies to Nytro short tracks only.

adds forward/front coupling.......biggest thing you'll notice is the front wont hunt or dart as bad when you let of the gas or brake into corners.....sleds is a little less pitchy.
I have mine pulled one hole from stock.

Any negatives to tightening it one hole?

in effect it sounds like a transfer rod but with a strap

I was looking at it earlier today and was wondering the same. It looks like if you pull the strap tighter it will collapse the rear suspension giving it less travel. I'm not sure how this effects handling but I would think it would take away from the ride.

none at all, just way easier to drive it into corners at higher speeds. Bring a 10mm wrench and a ratchet on a test ride and adjust it trailside on a trail you can test or repeat a section so you can notice the difference.

My shocks have been revalved so no worries about the weak azz valving and massive transfer.
