Gose on the top shaft on the out side of the cover behinde the barke claper in front of the seal. I think.

Not for sure, but it looks like the spacer that seperates the upper chaincase gear from the upper chaincase bearing. I don't see how you would have gotten the upper gear nut tight without it though.

That's the one I thought it could be, but I see there are some spacers at the brake disc that may be more likely to get missed during reassembly.
