Just wonder how much the weights in a 05 RX-mtn weigh, I believe they are the 8bu-10. Which rivits are used for 7000-10000, and how much weight do they add? anybody know the tip-weight?

Thanks, Lance

The 05 is running the 8bu-10 and they weigh 45.41 grams. They come with 10.3 rivets in both holes and they weigh 2.44 grams each. So the total weight is 50.29 grams per weight arm.

FYI - I installed the 05 setup on my 03 Mtn (8BU-10). I have added heavier rivets three times to finally get my max rpm down to 10300. I currenty have (2) 4.5 gram rivets in each weight and it seems to OK. Faster out of the hole than the 03 setup, but finally not winding up like crazy. I ride between 2 and 6K most of the time. I'm heading to Revelstoke next week and was afraid of the mileage I would get with it reving so high.
