im looking at buying a new sled. i already own an 03 rx1 and plan i keeping it. im looking at either a phazer, nytro, or vector. i can get a phazer brand new at a local dealer for alittle over 4 grand. but i dont know i id like it. i want a good trail and off trail sled. what do you guys recommend?

Id have to go with the Nytro, Im assuming your talking about one of the new FX Nytro's, from what ive heard go with an 09, gets all the proper updates. The reason I said to go with the Nytro coming off a rx1 you are use to the power. I have a Apex, i drove the phazers before and just not enough umf for me, the vector is an absolute fantastic trail sled you can not get any better of a trail crusier. But if you want a fun off trail and ditch banger i would go with the Nytro XTX. Everyone on here seems to love there's.

I agree with yamaslob, get an 09 Nytro XTX, They have a $1,500 rebate right now. You should be able to get it for $7,700.00. That's what I was quoted.

Go with the nytro xtx the mtx is not so great handleing on the trail too bad the xtx wasn't out last year.

XTX for sale at a local dealer for just over $7,200 so factory rebates have to be kicking in on all of them, thats a heck of deal i'm just not interested in the sled.

Do you ride aggressively or mostly on groomed trails? Either way, I would pass on the Phazer. I bought a 07 Phazer for the wife and she loves it. I've rode it a few times and its fun enough but no top end. I don't know you’re riding style but I'd buy the Nytro if you're an aggressive rider or the Vector if you're a groomed trail cruiser.

I would narrow it to a vector LTX, or the fx nytro's.

The nytro is an acquired taste, and requires body input, where the vectors are less of a move around on it sled. Be honest with yourself as to how you ride. Both have their pros and cons. The nytros are far more aggressive in every respect, but the vectors get better mpg, and are faster on the top end but weigh more.

West Bend Huh?

Which dealer? the new one on 33? I suggest trying Port Yamaha as well if you have not yet. They always seem to have the best deals.

If you want to try them all, come up to Minocqua for Cruiserfest the 13th of February if you can wait that long. The Yamaha demo fleet will be there.

Last year, I rode a std 08 fx nytro, the 08 nytro RTX, and the new 09 XTX. While I liked the rtx a lot, the xtx was perfect for me.

I have a 2008 Vector LTX GT and an 09 Nytro XTX, the Vector is more of a relaxed ride. Like mentioned above the Nytro requires alot of body input, with that said I rode a buddies Vector LTX GT and another buddies Attak yesterday (while they tested my XTX) and I have to say they tired me out in the rough trail. The Nytro is better in the bumps, better in the deep snow, handles the twisties better but you have to move around alot. If you are just a trail cruiser type of guy I would go with the Vector, if you like jumping, wheelieing, busting drifts then the XTX is the better choice.

Don't get me wrong the Vector LTX GT is an awesome sled, I put over 5000 km on mine last winter, but the XTX is so far ahead it's unbelievable. You need to ride both and then decide what suits you best.

i might just wait and go up to minocqua and try them all out. yes the ew dealer on 33 is where i was looking, i looked at port and all of the sleds were priced aittle higher there
