I put the 5.5 spring in and it works awesome! 190 without gear. Call port Yamaha. They will hook you up!

I would recommend getting the 7.0 Kg spring (p/n 8FT-47489-10-00). They retail for $99.95 and we have them in stock. Another option would be to adjust the clip position on your current shock to the 2nd or 3rd clip position and try it - this may help but not cure the problem. If you have any questions on this feel free to give me a call. Thanks
YammiMoose - The 5.5 spring you are referring to is an Ohlins only spring - the Apex ER's, RTX's, and Attak's have a Kayaba shock that works a little differently and has different spring rates available. Hope you are enjoying the ride on yours now with the heavier spring!

Here's a good post to check out with more info on the springs available for the mono-shock sleds.

Thanks for the clarification:
I spoke with Ohlins because I have blown the rear spring twice. They didn't have an answer why. But he recommend that I send it out to be revalved for use with the heavier spring.
Pro Parts would you agree with this? And have you guys seen many blown rear Ohlin shocks?
I will say that the remote adjustably is an Awesome feature and REALLY works!
Thanks again for the spring,
-Moose
