Apex GT rear spring

I've been doing a ton of reading on this site lately. Thanks for all the great info. Tried to set my rear spring set in like every one says and discovered that I do need a heavier spring. 240lbs and spring has over 2" of sag. My question is does Yamaha have a heavier replacement or should I get an aftermarket. Also, can I install my self. Does the rear skid need to come out or can I just take the spring/shock out.
I would also like to install a sway bar from Pioneer, which one should I get the 12 or 13 mm.

Yamaha does have heavier springs for your GT. Send the shock to Pioneer Performance for a revalve along with a new spring. It will give you alot greater range of adjutability. Talk to Bruce about what sway bar to run.

I SENT MINE TO PIONEER AND IT'S FINE NOW. GO WITH THE 13 MM AND DO THE OTHER MODS AS WELL.
