i don't believe these newer apex's are only 150hp, if it is then I've got a strong running one that is over revving. I have no problems running with a 2015 rene 800. it's lighter and is supposed to be rated over 160hp.
oh well doesn't matter. great info and nice to see what a difference the exup makes to the power curve.

remember guys that was a pre production model i havent seen one dyno over 152hp from production models
Yes the Info is from a pre production model. Thanks for emhasizing.
Also dynos can give different readings on the same sled.
The info pointed out the relative differences for various RPM very well though so I posted it up.
My stocker is bone stock & peaks at 10,600 on hard trails & 10,300 to 10,400 when the snow is softer.

There can be a power difference from sled to sled for sure.
My 2013 Apex SE is a fair bit quicker than my 2011 Apex SE.
113 mph on Snow radared for the 13 SE vs 109 mph Radared on the 2011 in the same distance. [Same Day, back to back]
The 13 gets to 660' about 3 sled lengths sooner than the 11 as well.
Both are bone stock & well maintained.
I bought the 2013 SE from Yamaha and it had been an area Reps Demo so I'm pretty sure it was broken in hard.
Glad you found the info useful.
As an aside, my 2011 SE beat the several stock MXZ 800's I raced with as well so I'm sure the 13 would walk them pretty good.
Somebody's fibbing on HP or Yamaha's stock clutching is way better than Doo's since on paper our Tanks shouldn't stand a chance.
