ive seen some random wider skis for sale online. curious what everyone else upgraded to

09 apex mtx skis on both apex.

did try curves on the 11 for awhile but the mtx skis work better for my needs in area.

Curves with Slijim Dooleys and Slydog Powderhounds with Bergstrom Triplepoints.

Pilot 6.9s . 6" carbides down the center. 4" carbides on the edge. Night and day difference over the tuners my sled came with.

VK 9 in wide skis with snow trackers ! I use Tuners in the early season than change over once snow gets deeper. Helps front float on deep logging roads and the trackers handle the trails well ! tuners push in the snow covered trails. profile pic shows VK ski

Had the tuners good on hard packed but not so good in the deep so I switched to theVK pro with snow trackers, they work great keeping the Apex afloat plus I find the curve in the back is higher then the mountain ski which is better for backing up, great on the trail and when things get deep, very happy with this set up.

Currently running the Doo pilot 5.7 with semi-aggr snowtrackers. But getting ready to swap to the 6.9 pilots with the full aggr snowtrackers for additional flotation in powder.

@ Macheater.... Leaders rpm in Kalamazoo Michigan has the 6.9s for $209 a pair. That's the cheapest I could find. I also trimmed some blue Viper handles to fit. They look pretty good. Leaders has them listed on eBay.
