On my 16 apex 129. I have used 3 different skies. The push and no turn and also very little dart tuners. 6 inch simmons that were pretty good trail when the snow was soft lasted forever, scary as fuk on plowed roads or very hard frozen trails, and steered heavy even with power steering. And my favorite slydog trails, steer almost as easy as tunners, only slight darting on hard hard trails, perfect on plowed roads, and it will actually steer in loose snow, something the other two do not.

i am getting ready to take my 5.7s off of my skidoo. how did you mount yours? the are dual keel and wider than the tuners (tuners only 5in wide) do they just fit right on ?Currently running the Doo pilot 5.7 with semi-aggr snowtrackers. But getting ready to swap to the 6.9 pilots with the full aggr snowtrackers for additional flotation in powder.

funny i just bought a set for my doo renegade 209.bucks. how did you mount??@ Macheater.... Leaders rpm in Kalamazoo Michigan has the 6.9s for $209 a pair. That's the cheapest I could find. I also trimmed some blue Viper handles to fit. They look pretty good. Leaders has them listed on eBay.

You have to flip one of the bushings that are on the ski. One has to have the flange on the outside of the saddle. The spindle fits that way. No, I didn't guess at the Mxz rubbers. I read about it here in TY of course.

ok i see what your saying. sounds like ski is too narrow and need a little more room. so flipping ski bushing around provides that extra clearance .(i might try and fit a skinny washer in so ski doesnt wear) and i was generally curious how you came up with the correct ski stop.........ill try and search for the thread on it unless you know where and post it

Yeah, exactly what I did. Put a thin washer in there. Search it up because I think I had to cut the rubber and can't recall just how much

Perfect. I can tell you that those skis made a night and day difference on my sled. 6" carbides center, 4" carbides on the outside edge. Handles good

curious why 6 on inside and 4 on out side? i usually run 6 and 6 on my doo. maybe overkill though. last thing i need is it to bite top hard on the lakes here
