I would like to install (108) 1.325" studs on my 07' Rage with the 1.25 Ripsaw track. Can anyone tell me if the heated treated steel studs like Woody's Gold Diggers will be less likely to bend as compared to stainless steel studs like Woody's Signatures? I have no experience with this long of a stud. Now I do plan to use only double backers and the tall nuts. I just dont think the HT steel Gold Diggers are worth $50 more than the stainless steel studs. What do you guys think? Thanks, G.B.

I ran 144 5/16 SS 1.325" studs on my previous ZR800. I used a combination of double and single backers and all regular nuts. None of them broke and I had to replace 8-12 a year due to bending. I was happy with their performance and would buy them again if I planned to stud my current track.

I have 144 Signatures in my Vector with the tall nuts. I am VERY impressed with them! I actually pulled out the outer bands of studs, but then put them back in.
That should tell you how much bending (little or none) there was. I'll always put SS studs in my sleds from now on...MUCH easier to replace!
Put 72 Signatures in my sons "new" Polaris 500 a few weeks ago.
Look on eBay....lots of them there for better prices than at a dealer.

Thanks Aaron Undecided, I appreciate your feedback. I would prefer SS studs for corrosion protection and removal like you guys mentioned regardless of the cost. I am just surprised that the SS studs are that much cheaper than the steel HT ones. Thanks again, G.B.

I used 108 Riders Choice SS studs from Shade Tree in Vector LTX. Arranged in the center belt, 2 per pitch. I have used these in the past on my XC600. They have 5K miles and are still in good shape. Rule of thumb for studding is ~1 stud per HP for trail riding. So far, very happy with the hook-up in ice.

If you need some i have them for $1 each ( Woody S/S)
Or i have some Extreme Max stainless steel for $1 each with single backer.
If you buy the woody you'll have to get 120 though because smallest pack is 24.
