What to buy Apex MTN or RX-1 MTN

ok I up in the air on what to buy, last minute, im 1 week away from making a purchase. I need recommendations.

private sale 2003 Rx-1 MTN for 3000$ with 3000km 151"
or Dealer sale 2006 Apex MTN with for 5900$ with 3000km 162"

both are fairly stock.
I ride deep powder, thinking potentail turbo project, whats a better deal here? what are the advantages, Thanks!!!

I can buy 2 rx-1's for the price of the Apex, which is a better deal?
 
The RX-1 has 2.52" track pitch, coil spring suspension, less troublesome exhaust, hood that opens without tools, and in my opinion better seating position. The Apex has fuel injection.

for 3000$ it seems like a better deal right now, especially when they got the same km. the other thing is, Im pretty good at at handling the sled in powder, but, no ones flawless and at any point total destruction can happen and I dont know it I wanna see 6000$ get rolled into peices, when I get into some pretty wild terrain.
 
Iid go Mt Apex hands down over RX-1. The fuel injection is worth a lot. Apex will have more power too. And being that both are very heavy sleds, the 162" skid of the Apex will float much better. But it's your cash.
 
3000$ more, and 2006 was the first year they did fuel injection. I'm leaning towards buying the Rx-1 for the season, selling my Mountain Max, and saving for a newer Apex, I think if I take the time to hunt down a Solid Apex MTN, ill be alot more happy.

I dont feel this 2006 is worth $6000, if it was 4500-5000$ i think it would be an easy decision.
i think for 6000$ I can get an 08' if I hunt around.
 
as I was writing this I just got a hit on my Mountain max from craigslist.
this might give me an extra 2000$ making me lean towards an apex, please keep commenting.

Totally Yamaha member feedback, built me an insane Mountain Max, now I can't wait to put together a 4-stroke backcountry monster.
 
I have a 08 apex Mtx SC, with the updates the apex's have over the Rx-1 its hands down apex. Finding a apex mtx for sell is hard to do, one of the best platforms for boosting. The fuel injection is spot on, better fuel economy=longer time to play. The 03 burned oil and on the 06 it gone. Like SuperSled said longer track better float. 6000 bucks is about right for one like that. And after you do some mods the apex will be even better then the Rx-1 could be.

Yeah I had a hard enough time finding this one. its the only one posted in the area, Im gonna call them again today and make an attempt at bringing them down to 5000$ @ the dealership. I also have an 03" R6 I could potentially trade, and I scared the life out of myself on that. I would rather see an apex in my garage.
 
A lot of 2003-2004 rx1s had problems with the oil rings on the pistons causing the engine to burn oil.They fixed the problem in 2005.

I have had carb and fi.Go with the apex the carb sucks and the apex is always spots on.
 
Keep the comments coming, this helps alot, taking in everyone opintion I got alot better idea of what im looking at.
 
I never road in the mountains but would a moutain max be a less of a sled than either rx1 or apex?? in the mountains of course without the turbo.Maybe you just want to get a newer sled I was just wondering about differences is all.
