I'm going to look at a couple of Nytros this week. Can anyone give me some pointers on things to look for specific to the Nytro?

What is the easiest way to spot a bent subframe? Will the shox be off center or will they bend with out that happening? Any pointer would be great.

Thanks for any advice you guys can give me.

Shocks are always off center, can't go by that, unless they are rubbing on a-arm. Look for wrinkles in the subframe plate, below where the lower a arms meet.......

take a measurement from each of the following locations...

spindle top joint to rear axle center and spindle mount bottom joint to rear axle center both sides ....should be the same

Inspecting the bottom suppport plate (with the circle cutout) is the most reliable way to notice if the subframe was bent. Just looking at the spindles/shocks positions may not indicate a problem, especially since it's easy to bend them back into position.

Look at the support plate and see if there is any buckling, crinkling, paint flaking and/or rust. Here is a pic of what a bent subframe looks like, but keep in mind that the 08s don't have this support plate, at least not stock.
