I have a 2007 Rage, and was riding in a steady light rain today in central NY. After a few hours of riding with my leather gloves totally soaked through, I would get a shock every time I would apply my brakes. If I was just holding on to my handle bars, I would not get it, but as soon as I applied the brake lever I would get shocked. Luckly with this engine braking, I didn't have to use it many times before I got home. Anybody else ever have thi happen when your gloves were totally soaked?

Could be that you are touching bare metal which happens to be the brake lever. While riding you are grounded from the shock by the hand warmer rubber. Try touching other metal places to see if you get a shock. My guess is a poor ground somewhere start with your battery negative post clean and reinstall and check again.

I would be suprised if the 12 volt system on your sled gave you a shock you could feel. I suspect there is voltage leaking from the secondary ignition system (Coils, Plugs, wires). Was the engine running smoothly at this time?
