What Year Did Yamaha Start With Independant Suspension???

I am looking for a new ( well atleast to me ) Grizzly . What year did they start having independant suspension? I think I heard the Kodiaks started in 2004 ??? Thanks to my habit of having to give half my crab away every few years ( Thanks to my ex's for that) I will be looking for a little older Grizzly, 2000 to 2003. Anything to look for??? 2001 I believe. I'd have to look to be sure.

The Grizzly 660 got the independent in 2002 and the Kodiak models got the independent set-up in 2005. Now for 07 you can also get a Grizzly 350 model with independent suspension to go along with the Grizzly 400, 450, 660, and 700 models that all have IRS.
