I bought 60csx and love it, I bought the car plug in for it and put a cig lighter on my seld. The problem is that the cig lighter doesnt take much beating in the trails so it blows my inline fuse some how. How do you guys wire up your GPS?......Thanks alot

I've been running a gps plugged into a 12V outlet on the sled for about 4 years now and I've never had an issue with the fuse breaking from the beating it takes on the sled.
Are you blowing the fuse that is in the power source to the outlet circuit or are you blowing the fuse in the line from the gps to the outlet?
Also, how do you have your outlet wired up? Direct off the battery or ??

Mine did the same thing, blew fuses every ride. I just bought the female end for the cig plug & hard wired it right to the battery. Make sure you put a in line fuse in just in case the wire grounds out to the frame. When you plug your adapter in to the new end wrap it with black tape so it doesnt shake apart.

I have the exact same GPS. I bought the hard wire kit (comes with a fuse) and wired it to the jumper leads. I then ran the plug up to the handle bars and right out next to the holder. Works great..FYI unhood the battery when you connect to the jumper leads as things are still live!!
