Whats the big difference between the 03 RX-1 and a 04 RX-1

Just got a 04 rx-1 warrior friend bought a 03 RX-1 whats the big differences. Ive looked so far i foundout the 04 is a bit lighter??/

Different front springs.

Longer links between swaybar and A-arm. Upper A-arm is aluminium. Front springs are 1.9 kg straight rate. Coil assembly are different from '03.

Unless I missunderstand, your 04 is a rx Warrior???? If so, then it'll be considerably heavier than the 03 rx-1.

Obviously, the warrior has a longer track, wider running boards with grip edges, different clutch/gear calibrations, and is standard with reverse. But the real difference is the Warrior needs much less work to enjoy and fetches approx. $1000 - $1500.00 more when you go to sell it, and about $500 - $800 more at trade-in time. Unfortunately, if you can't find someone who isn't in-tune with the progression of Yamaha's 4-stroke plan, you'll get even less.

JDMCRX - Taking about the RX-1 shorties, there was not a significant weigth reduction between model years '03 and '04. '04 warrior was the first year of that model.
