I have seen alot of guys praise these machines.. :? I am really curious...what is it about these machines that everyone loves so much? This is my first Yamaha and I wish I have never wasted my years on the other brands...knowing that they are built as well as they are. But what is it with the SRX specifically?

Unbeatable handling on smooth trails because of their low profile style, and the triple triple is strong, smooth, and lacks vibrations which enables it to top out nicely !! In it's day it wasn't the best all around sled but it was hard to better in it's element.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it !!! 8)

You gotta ride a well tuned SRX. Hell, even a poor running one is sweet. It is something you gotta try & then all your questions will be answered. I do like a 04 piped Viper tho...they are pretty sweet!

Whats the deal with the srx

It is one of the best tripples ever produced .LOts of fun beating 800s all day with it. Could not bring my self to sell it i let my ski donkey friends ride it when there 800s twins are roached . geterdone

SRX, strong engine very smooth ride and very good handling without having to do a lot of suspension setup. Triple cylinder, Triple piped stock. Best sled in it's class.

Fast, solid (no rattles, squeaks or vibrations) & reliable. I had a 2000 and loved it but in 2002 they didn't change anything so I bought a zr 800 and liked it. Until we were riding in baraga and meet some guys from wisconson with a rx1 and he let me try it. My mind was made up. (rx1) But I did love that srx.
