Nimble, yes- loved the fact of it being lighter but getting it to stick, always being on 1 ski was the worst. Litterly couldn't ride it the way it should've been alot of the times, that ruined the day's venture.
Tippy feeling or about flat out tipping over at the slightest angle off a snow bank all the time, don't miss that...
It was a good ride overall, just some discouraging bugs I chased for 3 1/2 seasons.
The Nytro is heavier but it stays planted perfect for me, good suspension set up. Big open fields & wide woods are the trails around here... I love the thing.
Good luck with your sale.![]()
Odd, all 3 of our Phazers were great after taking the stock skis off but we ride forest service roads and deep powder with lots of sidehilling. But then again everybody rides different and in alot of different places. For us there was no comparison between boosted Phazer and Nytro but one size doesn't fit all. Good luck with the Nytro.

I struggled with these the first year I had it, but with some good advise from the Forums and Bergstrom and Skegs the fixes were quite easy. The problem with stock Phazers is this:
poor ski design and not enough ski pressure. Here is what I did to correct it. I've done this now on 3 Phazers and it works great!
1. Change skies from stock (Slydog trail)= Wider skies, more stability and different design on the bottom to prevent pushing(the stock Yamaha skies like Arctic cat are just no good)
2. Added 6 inch shaper bars to
3. Darting= added bergstrom and skegs shims.
My friend has a stock Phazer and he was just commenting on how mine isn't tippy and corners like its on rails. Being its such a light sled it still requires lots of input from the driver(leaning and what not) but that's part of the fun of riding. My arcitc cat was all of 650lbs and I loved it for long distance straight trails, but for me riding lost its fun when you can't throw you sled around. The cat sure stayed planted, but I sure didn't enjoy hitting off trail and doing little jumps. I don't know of any machine that could really keep up with the Phazer in the twisted trails on Mn.
Here is a quick video of the Phazer doing some cornering

I've had two boosted phazers and a nytro. They're is no comparison. I currently ride an mcx turbo mtx. I sold my 07 mpi s/c phazer with 128 snopro track, excell pipe, float 2s, hpg c36 rear susp, innovate afr, super clean, this winter for $5k. Good luck, i'd say $5-6k if you find the right buyer.

I see that you have owned a turbo Phazer in the past. What did you think of it as compared to the s/c version?
