I can be wrong,but several minutes,don't remember it taking that long for my sled. none of my sold steetbikes or my R1 have such a thing.oil is thicker when cold,2 different set-ups,basically they have the same motor.just unsure about this.rather have my oil pumping good than my anti-freeze/block warm.do you think the engine has a good coating of oil on cold start-up?i think its timed just about right with the light,maybe they fffff up and hooked senser to low coolant light rather than oil light?bottlerocket said:
in maine one moring 40 below started the sleds, always let them warm up until the light goes out, my buddy got on his sled right away and putted down onto the lake hit the trail and did a top speed run right away out across the lake came back and let the sled come to a idle and the engine blew up.2005 vector wasted. Dealer said didn,t let it warm up long enought. Long story short I always let my sled warm up really good before I take it out.
Hence the term idiot light and thats why Yamaha has it gleaming when it's cold.attack22 said:
