Hey guys wondering if anyone has specs on where and how much do you machine off for overdrive?

Is it the clutch faces or spring pocket?
How much?

thanks
Marc

You get the clutch faces done on primary , if you have stick clutching then you will need to get the helix done as well ....

Allen ulmer does a great job @ machining clutches he did both my primary & secondary clutches for $200 USD not sure how much other places cost.

That a good price but for us Canadiens it would be $500 after shipping and exchange ! I'll see how much Dave at hurricane charges.

Yeah sucks on our dollar vs USD, I got mine done last year when it wasn't so bad while getting one of his performance kits as well. I'm sure there has to be some shops in Ontario that can do the job, Hope you can find one as it makes a big difference with good clutching to go with it.

What kind of gains did you after you had the clutches machined?

I was able to stay ahead of a few buddys with 8000 rr's lightly modded and bout a sled length ahead of 15 pro s 800 with mods on drags. Now I have the 190 mpi kit n have yet to do more runs against them as I been busy working. when stock was able to hit 95 switched secondary to 3-3 hit 101 , After ulmers mods I never had a chance to open er up n look at speedo, Our flat ice roads have been too twisty to hold it WOT as too many ppl were complaining of speedy drivers flying around.
