Where do you wire in the winch?

The Warn winch yamaha sells comes with wiring and I was wondering did you go right to the battery for power?

If it is like a Yamaha ATV, the power comes directly through the battery via a soleniod that controls on-off and fwd-rev. A winch needs maximum amperage so big wire is needed. The controls use small wire connected to the solenoid.

i just bought the winch also, i am thinking off wiring it to the booster wires on the right hand side of the sled.
