Which are the better handguards to install on a 06 Apex? Looking to get a set to help with the wind protection! Thanks

Last year I had the Powermadd but I still found my hands were too cold. I think there was still too much air hitting my hands. This year I bought the new gauntlet style handguards that Yamaha is offering. Still a little chilly but far better than the Powermadd set up.

I got the rox speedfx guards with custom apex specific mounts, worked good and look sweet, mounts are a little weird to get aligned but after a little time they work out fine and hold up good

This year I am trying the Skinz trail series. At first I was skeptical, thought they might move around at speed. I have ridden a few days where the temp is 0 and below and couldn't be happier. They stay in place and keep the wind off. The other thing I like about them is if it is real warm out they are easily removed and stored in my seat trunk. I also upgraded my bars to the 06's, that made a huge difference. 07 Attak.

Yamaha makes their own version of the skinz series handguards. Got them on my 06 RTX and love them. Might be a little easier to get your hands on.

Last year I put on the Powermadd hand guards. I bought the Skinz for the really COLD
days. They work great and they fit right over the Powermadds. The only problem I found with the Skinz is they attach to the very end of the hooks and you lose some leverage steering but it's better then cold hands!
