Snowtrackers are yet ANOTHER carbide! Holy crap, how many different kinds are there?!! My husband got pretty ticked that I was unenthusiastic about my Phazer this weekend. So, Im doing my own research and will buy things on my own to make things well again.

I found a sticker kit for it in the Yamaha catalog, and white ski loops. Also Im realizing I need to buy these different carbides for it. I stopped by our local shop here in Roslyn and he said the stock ones are just fine. But, I read all over on this site that getting newer ones makes a huge improvement!

Can someone give me a link to the exact ones I should order? To help with the "darting".

Thanks so much for your patience :)

Phazer should not dart. Replace the rubber piece between the ski and spindle will help a great deal. And double check your ski alignment. Also, check for loose front end parts as the Phazer is noted for loose front end pieces after about 1k miles.

I have two Phazers and they do not dart at all, but then dart is a relative term.

Mine still darted after shimming the rubbers and adjusting the limiter strap. Studboy Shaper bars helped but I will try Studboy Duece bars this season.

I would check the ski toe out. I find that is you run them at the hi end of the spec, it virtually eliminates darting.

I'm going with Woodys SlimJim Doolies this year read good reviews was thinking about snowtrackers but read allot of horror stories and the construction looks pretty rednecky for the price. Just my opinion :)
